"Then He took the bread, said the blessing, broke it, and gave it to them, saying, 'This is My Body, which will be given for you; do this in memory of Me'." (Luke 22:19) With these very words of Jesus Christ, God gave the gift of the Mass to the Catholic Church.
At all Masses on October 28th and 29th, 2017, Fr. Gerald provided a "Teaching Mass". As the Mass unfolded, an explanation and commentary of what we do and why we do it, was provided.
Hopefully, many questions you have regarding the Mass have in some way, been addressed through the "Teaching Mass", and we hope that all of us will make every effort to participate in the Mass, that together, we have learned more about God's great gift to us of the Holy Sacrifice of the Mass. When we come to know the Mass, we come to love the Mass.
The notes from the Mass have been provided for you here.
